Bickford Theater Schedule
Return to NJJS

Wednesday, May 30, 8 PM. Trumpeter Randy is joined by trombonist Herb Gardner, upright string bassist Brian Nalepka, guitar/banjo ace Ken Salvo and pianist Ehud Asherie, all leaders of their own groups. According to one critic, "Reinhart delivers with an incessant drive and a seductive quality on the minor chords that vividly illustrates why the guardians of morality found jazz so threatening in the teens and the 20s." Randy filled the room with a similar band at the Bickford last year, and was one of the stars of the sold-out benefit concert there too.

Midweek Jazz concerts are one long set, from 8 to 9:30 PM, allowing working people to attend and still get home at a decent hour. The tab is reasonable too: only $15 for seniors, $18 for others. Request tickets, directions from the OCC Box Office at (732) 255-0500. More info below.

The New Jersey Jazz Society is a proud co-sponsor of Jazz for Shore.
